We just came out of a pretty scary week. We had some pregnancy complications last week which privileged us to a 6 hour ER visit. Fortunately, after a visit the next day to Karen’s doctor, she reassured us that the baby was going to be okay. We got another ultrasound and the pics are below. This was particularly (for me) a sobering time, because it made me see the reality of what is happening to us and how precious and vulnerable a time like this can be. So, no need to worry. All seems to be going according to what is “normal”. We are at 14 weeks today and just entered the second trimester. Below are some new sonogram pictures. In one specifically, you can see the baby’s hand defined. Also, posted below is a video of Karen’s belly at the start of the second trimester.
