Hilton Head Vacation

We loaded up the van on Saturday morning, May 19, and put our GPS to Hilton Head. This is the first time for Joshua. Jonathan got himself some new Lighting McQueen shades for the trip.

We did our usual stop at Wal-Mart for groceries. Then we headed to the condo.

It was a cloudy week, but perfect for this extremely pale family. The boys loved the water and were excited to go to the beach every morning and night.

We branched out a little more this trip.

On Monday, May 21, we continued our tradition of going to Fuddruckers for a hamburger and milkshakes. The highlight for the kids was the video game area.

On Wednesday, May 23, we went to the Olde Oyster Factory – wonderful food and great view of the water. We then walked along the pier and took pictures with the boats. We didn’t last long as Joshua was about at his limit.

On Thursday, May 24, in the morning, Jonathan and I hit the BiLo for popcycles and then we made a stop at Dunkin Donuts. That night went to Marley’s Grill and enjoyed another great meal. Then we went to the pier again and walked around the lighthouse and the mall area. Then we played at the pier playground – where the boys had a blast.

On the way home, we ran into massive traffic. I was tempted to get off and take backroads. My lovely wife was not as eager. However, I prevailed and we took back roads around the traffic … and to our benefit. We got to an exit that was just after the lockdown of the interstate. We got on and it was smooth sailing all the way back.

Joshua made a new friend at our condo in the wall mirror – high 5’s, fist bumps, and kisses.
